About Granite Countertops

What Is Granite?

COUNTERTOP ROYALTY

Granite is a natural stone cut into slabs for countertops, prized for its natural countertop talent. Harvested from granite quarries, every slab is unique with beautiful patterns that can perfectly compliment cabinets, and other features in your kitchen. Granite is well known for it's high heat tolerance of about 1000°C (1832°F), so hot pans from an oven, or pots coming off of the stove can be immediately placed on a granite countertop. Granite is very scratch resistant, with a Mohs hardness of about 6 or 7, and it's extremely durable, so it will last for years.

Because granite is a natural stone, it will need to be sealed before use, which we'll take care of for you as part of installation. Granite is harvested from nature so while you can choose the slab with some natural pattern you'll use for your countertop, the design can't be customized like manufactured countertops such as quartz and porcelain.

If you're looking for a long-lasting, durable countertop with natural beauty, look no further than granite!
